International Training and Research Center of Russian State University for the Humanities International Training and Research Center of Russian State University for the Humanities "Graduate School of European Cultures" (VSHEK) was established in April 2007 on the basis existed since 1995, the Institute of European Cultures, established universities in Russia, Germany and France. Based on extensive experience of international cooperation with foreign universities, gained by the Institute of European Cultures, Graduate School of European Cultures in cooperation with Ruhr University have developed a master's program "Russian culture". Russian culture is regarded widely in the context of European cultures. The program complies with the provisions of the Bologna Declaration and uses a modular construction principle of the plan and the credit system (ECTS) to account for labor training of students. During training at the Graduate School of European Cultures using modern scientific technology - learning with computers. In the near future is planned to use distance courses. As a result students for 2 years get a profound knowledge of the laws of the Russian and European cultures of modern and contemporary, as well as related professional competence. In addition, undergraduates are taking part in the International Summer School, which serves presentations on topics proposed by the heads of schools. Summer school is held every two years in the third semester. Internship Program provides the most successful Russian graduate of the Ruhr University and German students in RSUH. VSHEK partners abroad are the University of Innsbruck (Austria) and University of Milan (Italy). Field of Study (033000.68) – Cultural Studies / Social Anthropology The "Russian Culture Studies" master’s programme is beening implemented as a partnership between Russian State University for Humanities (Moscow, Russia) and Lotman Institute of Ruhr University (Bochum, Germany). The programme’s alumnus gets an opportunity to be successfully employed as contemporary culture academic researcher, lecturer, expert/analyst/adviser, critic/journalist, sociocultural designer for public/non-for-profit institutions as well as for commercial organisations operating in the domains of education, academic research, media and advertising.
